Our Kids - Littlebit & Midnight

I love my cats! My wonderful hubby does not!

Say Hello to Littlebit!

Littlebit joined our family when his late mom Mrs. Beasley brought him and late brother, Mr. Bootsy to our house in 2002.  They were really cute and I decided to keep them.

Mrs. Beasley died of cancer in 2002 around the time she was weaning the boys.  Midnight took over the raising which amazed us because he so independent.  It was the first time I ever saw a male cat raise two male kittens.

Mr. Bootsy disappeared in 2003.  We think a chicken-hawk snatched him because he looked like and hopped like a rabbit.  We searched everywhere but were unable to find him.

Say Hello to Mr. Midnight!

Midnight was discovered in Picayune, MS too.  Someone dumped him out on a deserted highway near a storage building we were renting.  Mom and I heard what sounded like a cat fight coming from one of the units.  Then we saw an old air condition unit and heard the scream again, so we investigated.  All you could see was white eyes, white teeth, and huge ears.  We finally were able to release him from his prison to discover he was covered in chemicals.  We brought him home, gave him a bath, and he became a part of our family.

He was very funny growing up.  His favorite food was bread and if you left a loaf out it was guaranteed to be gone when you got home.  To this day, bread is like a treat for him and he will take your figures if you don't release quick enough.
